I just wanted to share with you this great book I just read from Steve Chandler, 100 Ways to Motivate Yourself ( Career Press).

Not the other way around ” .Post navigation← Older postsHow to be a Person of InfluenceNov29Hello, Today I just finished reading this mazing nove, How to be like Women of Influence written by Gre and Ruth William with Michael Mink from HCI Books.

It was a great read, it ’ s not a biography, but you get to know a little about the life of these great women ’ s and how they succeed in their respective fields, how they stayed strong in face of hardshi, overcame prejudices and pressed forward the boundaries of race, religion, politics, disability, culture and business to make their own contributions to the world. Each chapter is dedicated to a woman such as: Eleanor Roosevelt, Mother eresa, Anne Frank, Margaret Thatcher, Sandra Day O ’ Donova, Oprah Winfrey, Golda Meir, Rosa Parks, Helen eller, Marie Curie, Babe Didrikson Zaharias, Amelia Earhart, Florence Nightingale, Harriet Beecher, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Clara Barton, Susan B.

Each chapter is full of stories, vignette, historical facts and curiosities with well chosen quotes. On the end of each chapter there is a section How to be Like Oprah Winfrey ( for instanc) and it comes with 7 to 16 bullet points of the aspect and actions that these women ’ s had that made it difficul for them to achieve their goals, with an additional text in each one of them.

What the 20 women in this nove had in common was: Each one figured out what the prime motivation in their life would be and pursued it with passion.

“ Books showed me there was possibilities in life, that there were actually people like me living in a world I could not only aspire to but attain.

For me it was the open door. ” Oprah Winfrey I highly recommend this book it ’ s a great read and very inspiring.

It motivates you to aim for big goals and work hard to achieve them.Leave a comment Posted in Women, Personal development, Personal growth, motivation, inspiration, Books, Book reviewe, action, HCI BOOKS, Pat Williams, Ruth Reid, Michael Mink, Oprah Winfrey, Anne Frank Tagged success, motivation, personal development, books, Motivate yourself, Action, Personal Growth, Book eview, inspiration, influence, goal setting, education Book Review:100 ways to Motivate YourselfNov23 Hello, I just wanted to share with you this great book I just read from Steve Chandler, 100 Ways to Motivate Yourself ( Career Press).

Our life is a continuous cycle of Motivation, action and completion. Its a really ood ook, and Steve Chandler has mentioned many useful methods that we can adopt to live a more fuller and motivated life.

But, all this comes down to action, we have to inculcate a few of these habits at a time and try to include them in our mundan lives slowly.A few phrases and points that I liked from the ook, :Groucho Marx once said he found TV very educational.

" you can catch life by handle or by the blade. "

A lot tend to fall under the category of: " Please pay me money so I can tell you a bunch of BS things that sound really nice but are actually meaningless. " While I do n't think this memoi is going to revolutionize my life, there were a few hings I took away from it that I probably will incorporate into my day to day life.

It really hit home that if I am more disciplined at home and stop viewing things I do n't want to do as difficult or onerous, I will actually walk away feeling accomplished and still have more free time to pursue my own life.

If you like this kin of stuff, and even if you do n't but are feeling like you need some inspiration or motivation in your life, I recommend this ook.
