And it was at least three or four chapters in before we found out there was n't some sort of convenient time-bubble that erased the babies from existence ( or prematurely aged them, like a soap opera.) The babies are back home, being cared for by someone else. There is no mention of the women missing their children.

They just felt like a history book, and not one I would have gone out of my way to read. Finally, and do n't let the number of criticisms outweigh the fine qualities of this ook, but I found the underlying political position of the writer ( s) coming through a bit roughly.

I also recognize that this was a political book to begin with and must admit that the authors handled is with great skill. All of that being said, the entir ook was a joy to read, and I relished the pages, chewing them slowly and allowing myself to be swept into this world Flint ( and Weber) had created.
