On October 29, 1929, forever after known as Black Tuesday, saw countless fortunes lost and even more lives broken.

Like the condemned ascending the scaffold to face the executioner, whose work is swift and complete and the world ’ s wealth is redistributed.Jonathan Garrett, Caleb Jenkins, and Aryl Sullivan are friends that were both wealthy and successful.

Instead of jumping from an upper floor, ending it all and leaving the living to deal with the catastrophe.

But there were anachronisms that got in my pat.

The ide of the books is that it is a story being written in 1970.

( I wrote " will be " since I know I 'll keep reading to the nd of the series.) In a nutshell, these are books I love to hate.

ther readers have pointed out some of the obvious errors, like showers in the NYC tenements, etc.

( This a very good three book series, 1929, 1930 and 1931.

Through the three books in the series Victor is also a force to be reckoned with.

" 1929- Jonathan 's Cross " can actually be considered a horror story -- the horror of losing everything you owned in one fternoon ( some lost their lives also).

But they all stuck together, found very low paying manual labor jobs. This is an easy story to get lost in and marvel at their tenacity to keep their families with shelter and food.

What was the villain doing before the crash when his rival had a seemingly perfect life?

Please do n't waste your time, I am sure there are much better period novels about the 1929 crash.
